Patient Belongings
Please send your valuables home with loved ones while you are in the hospital. We are not responsible for your belongings. If you are not able to send your things home, please speak with your nurse to secure them. Contact lenses, eyeglasses, hearing aids and dentures should be stored in your bedside stand, when not in use. Denture cups are available upon request.
Call Bell
Please use the call bell to let your nurse know you need help. To ensure your safety, please let us know if you are in pain or need to use the bathroom so we can assist you. Using your call bell can help prevent falls and injury.
Food and Nutrition
Mealtimes are an important part of your recovery. You can view the menu and order meals from our Meal Ordering application.
Medication
Our nursing staff will administer all medication. A pharmacist and pharmacy technician are available on request to answer any queries you may have.
If you have any concerns regarding your medication, please speak to a nurse.
Visitors
Your family can visit (usually two at a time) for a maximum of 3 hours between 4:30pm and 8pm on weekdays, and between 10am and 8pm on weekends/public holidays.
There is a room on each ward where you can spend time with your visitors.
Planning for Discharge
It is important to start thinking about your plans for discharge. It may feel daunting at the moment, however, your care team will work closely with you and your family and/or carer on your discharge options.
Planning for discharge is about being self-aware and confident and how you will manage at home, when you're not feeling the best.
